World AIDS Day
What’s your wish for the world on World AIDS Day?
Za Foundation put this question to young people in North Somerset and South Africa to mark World AIDS Day 2010. An art exhibition was held in the exhibition area of @Bristol which is located on Bristol’s harbourside. The exhibition ran from 27th November to 5th December 2010.
The art that was displayed at this exhibition had been created by school children in North Somerset, United Kingdom and Nkomazi, South Africa. Their schools are part of the Global School Partnerships programme which links UK schools with schools in other countries. Pupils took this year’s World AIDs Day theme – universal access to HIV testing and treatment as a human right. They worked on a piece of art or writing to express their wish for the world on World AIDS Day.
As tomorrow’s leaders, children will inherit the AIDS epidemic and other difficult global issues. This is what they had to say. We will soon be exhibiting an online gallery for you to view the wonderful art that was submitted for this event.

"The Earth really did move! You could feel the music. It was fab!" "The children were enthralled. Everyone was completely engaged. We will never feel the same about wellies again! They're for dancing, not just for going out in the rain." "They were amazing and very good at dancing and very fun to be with." -Feedback from Trinity School
